How it works

Two factors. Five tiers.

Your holding history matters. Holder Crates are built around two primary factors: how much $OTC you maintain, and how long you maintain it.

Factor 01

Amount held

The size of the $OTC position you maintain.

Factor 02

Holding duration

How long that position has been maintained.

Result

Crate strength

One of five classifications, Copper to Platinum.

  1. Hold $OTC

Maintaining a $OTC position contributes toward Crate strength. A larger maintained position can contribute toward a stronger Crate.

  2. Build holding history

Holding duration is the second factor. Maintaining a position over time can strengthen its classification.

  3. Develop your Crate

Stronger qualifying holder profiles may correspond to higher classifications, from Copper through Platinum.

  4. Potential additional rewards

Higher classifications may correspond to larger potential additional $OTC allocations, subject to final program terms.

Not yet defined: how each factor is measured, how the two are weighted and where each tier begins. Those will be set by the final program terms, which have not been published.

Crate tiers

Five crates. One OTC.

Each tier is a sealed OTC asset case. Construction steps up from Copper to Platinum: heavier shells, finer metals, more latches and stronger locks.

Current-view only. This presentation does not read a wallet, calculate rewards or apply program rules. It simply shows how lower settings map to Copper or Bronze, middle settings to Silver and higher settings to Gold or Platinum. Final measurement rules and weighting have not yet been published.

Potential additional allocations

Something extra for $OTC holders.

OTC Holder Crates are designed as a separate holder rewards experience recognizing maintained $OTC positions and holding history.

Higher qualifying classifications may correspond to larger potential additional $OTC allocations under the final program rules.

The exact funding, eligibility thresholds, allocation methodology and distribution schedule have not yet been provided. Until they are, nothing here should be read as a promise of any allocation.

  • Built on $OTC you maintain, not on tokens you lock, stake or deposit.
  • Separate from OTC Desks, launched-coin rewards and any existing payout.
  • Not funded by desk vaults, the desk pot or the buyback. Any funding must be set out in the final terms.
  • No wallet connection on this site. Never send tokens to anyone claiming to process a Crate.

About OTC

Revenue in. Assets out.

OTC is the everything protocol on Solana. It builds products that capture volume and revenue, then routes what they earn toward the people holding them. Payouts, buybacks and burns are on chain, so every figure can be checked.

  • Live

    Product 01 · Launched-coin holder rewards

    The launcher

Coins launched through OTC assign their creator fees to the protocol. Fees are claimed automatically and the holders' share is paid out pro rata to eligible holders in the coin's reward asset: a tokenised stock, a pre-IPO name, a rotating basket, or the asset the coin trades against.

  • Live

Product 02 · NFTs with vaults

    OTC Desks

A desk is an NFT with a vault attached. A share of protocol revenue goes into a shared desk pot. When the pot fills, it buys one asset from the rotation and credits every live desk the same amount. The vault belongs to the NFT, so selling the desk hands over everything in it.

  • Live

    Product 03 · $OTC token economics

    $OTC

$OTC is not a governance badge and not a fee discount. A fixed share of launcher fees buys $OTC on the open market and burns it. Minting a desk burns $OTC. And $OTC's own trading fees are split between the desk pot and the protocol.

Two ways $OTC is burned

OTC reports these separately. They are different mechanisms and should not be added together.

Funded by revenue

Bought back and burned

A share of protocol revenue buys $OTC on the open market, then burns it. The buy and the burn are separate transactions, so the purchase is visible on chain.

Paid by the minter

Burned to mint a desk

Minting a desk burns the $OTC deposit inside the mint instruction. There is no purchase and it is not funded by revenue.

Live totals are on otcdesks.cash/revenue. Past activity is historical and does not indicate future results. Neither mechanism funds Holder Crates.

A Crate is not a Desk.

Holder Crates take visual cues from the OTC desk world. They do not share its mechanics.

Existing payouts are unchanged. OTC's terms list three things that pay out today: launched coins pay their holders, desks receive a share of revenue, and $OTC holders receive SOL. Holder Crates are a separate proposal and do not change any of them. See the OTC terms.

FAQ

Questions, answered plainly.

Where a program detail has not been defined, the answer says so. Final terms will replace these answers where they differ.

The program

What are OTC Holder Crates?

OTC Holder Crates is a proposed holder rewards concept for $OTC. Eligible holders may qualify for one of five Crate classifications, Copper, Bronze, Silver, Gold or Platinum, based primarily on the amount of $OTC they maintain and how long they maintain it. It is a separate, additional experience and does not change any existing OTC product.

Who are Holder Crates intended for?

People who hold $OTC. The concept is designed to recognize maintained positions and holding history. Exactly who qualifies will be set by the final program terms, which have not been published.

Does holding more $OTC matter?

Yes, as proposed. The amount of $OTC you maintain is one of the two primary factors, and a larger maintained position can contribute toward a stronger Crate. No amounts or thresholds have been announced.

Does holding $OTC longer matter?

Yes, as proposed. Holding duration is the second primary factor, and maintaining a position over time can strengthen its classification. How duration will be measured has not been announced.

How is Crate strength determined?

By two primary factors: amount held and holding duration. The exact method, including how the two are weighted and where each tier begins, has not been defined. The progression preview on this page is an illustration and does not use a real formula.

What happens if I reduce my holdings?

Final rules have not been set. Because the concept is built on the amount you maintain and how long you maintain it, reducing a position could affect its classification. How and when that would apply depends on the final terms.

Is Holder Crates staking?

No. As proposed, Crates recognize $OTC that holders maintain. Nothing is locked, staked or delegated, and this website has no staking function.

Do I need to deposit $OTC?

No deposit is part of the concept as described, and this website never asks for one. Never send tokens to anyone who claims to process, upgrade or unlock a Holder Crate. Final terms will confirm how holdings are measured.

The five tiers

What are the five tiers?

Copper, Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum, from introductory to highest. Each is shown as a sealed OTC asset case with progressively stronger construction.

What is a Copper Crate?

The introductory classification. Every position starts somewhere. It is drawn as a compact case with a dark protective shell, copper hardware and simple latches. No entry threshold has been announced.

What is a Bronze Crate?

A stronger classification for a position beginning to build its history. It is drawn with reinforced corners, bronze details, keyed latches and security markings.

What is a Silver Crate?

The middle classification, built for more established holder profiles. It is drawn with a brushed silver frame and twin combination locks. Silver is the current live tier shown in the presentation.

What is a Gold Crate?

A higher classification. A stronger position, a stronger Crate. It is drawn with gold hardware, combination locks, an engraved plate and a refined interior.

What is a Platinum Crate?

The highest Holder Crate classification. It is drawn as a vault-grade case with a full platinum frame, four latches, a vault dial and the OTC insignia. Reaching it would not guarantee any particular outcome.

Allocations and terms

Are additional $OTC allocations planned?

The concept proposes potential additional $OTC allocations for eligible holders, with higher qualifying classifications potentially corresponding to larger allocations. Funding, amounts and timing have not been established, and nothing is being distributed today.

Are rewards guaranteed?

No. Nothing about Holder Crates is guaranteed. Potential allocations depend on final program terms that do not yet exist. OTC's own terms also state that payouts can be changed, delayed or stopped.

Have the exact eligibility thresholds been announced?

No. No thresholds, minimums, snapshot dates or allocation formulas have been announced. The program status table on this page will show them once final terms are published.

When will final program terms be available?

No date has been announced. Follow @otc_labs on X and check otcdesks.cash for official updates.

Are Holder Crates funded by protocol revenue?

No funding source has been established. Holder Crates are not funded by the launcher's holder rewards, the desk pot, desk vaults or the buyback. Any funding would have to be set out separately in the final program terms.

Current live presentation

What happens when I open the current Crate?

The case unlatches, the lid lifts and the Silver tier plate rises from the lining. Every visitor sees the same live-tier presentation until the page is updated. Nothing is minted, claimed, connected or recorded, and you can replay it as often as you like.

Is the current presentation a personalized result?

No. The opening presentation and the progression controls do not read a wallet or any holdings. They are current display states, not eligibility checks.

Crates and Desks

Are Holder Crates the same as OTC Desks?

No. A Desk is an existing OTC product: an NFT with a vault attached that is credited assets from desk rounds. A Holder Crate is a proposed holder classification. It is not an NFT, has no vault and holds no assets.

Does opening a Crate mint a Desk NFT?

No. Opening the current Crate is a visual presentation. Desks are minted at otcdesks.cash/mint, where minting burns $OTC. The two are unrelated.

Do Holder Crates receive the existing Desk rewards?

No. Desk rounds credit live desks only. Holder Crates receive no share of desk revenue and do not change how desks are paid.

Do Holder Crates change existing OTC payouts?

No. OTC's terms list three things that pay out today: launched coins pay their holders, desks receive a share of revenue, and $OTC holders receive SOL. Holder Crates are a separate proposal and do not change any of them.

OTC and $OTC

What is OTC?

OTC is the everything protocol on Solana. It runs products that turn trading fees into assets for holders: the launcher, where launched coins pay their holders in tokenised stock and other supported assets, and OTC Desks, NFTs with vaults that receive a share of protocol revenue. Learn more at otcdesks.cash/docs.

Does OTC buy and burn $OTC?

Yes. According to OTC's documentation, a fixed share of launcher fees goes to a wallet that buys $OTC on the open market and burns it, with the buy and the burn as separate transactions. Live totals are on otcdesks.cash/revenue. Past buybacks are not a commitment to future ones.

Is burning $OTC to mint a Desk the same as a buyback?

No. A buyback spends protocol revenue to purchase $OTC and then burns it. A desk mint burns the $OTC deposit paid by the person minting, with no purchase involved. OTC reports them separately and they should not be added together.

What is the official $OTC token mint?

MukLDtJ8Cx9DxLbeyLRSWPSposTMWuwHANbuaudpump on Solana. It is listed as OTC in the accounts table at otcdesks.cash/docs and in the OTC launcher. Always check the full address, since unrelated tokens use the OTC name.
